The Biggest Celebrity Hair Icons 2008

Celebrity Hairstyles Blog presents Celebrity Hair Icons of 2008

Generations of people have been inspired by the hairstyles of their favorite stars on televisions and movie screens around the globe. This year is no different as several celebrity hairstyles have hit it big with the population. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest celebrity hair icons of 2008.
Jennifer Aniston Hair

In general, women are more apt to be influenced by celebrity ‘dos than their male counterparts. So, there are naturally several ladies that have become hair icons this year. First, there’s Jennifer Aniston, whose hair has been hotly followed and imitated for more than a decade. Today, her glowing highlights stand out as her biggest contribution to the current state of hair fashions. Natural looking color is a must these days, and Aniston sure knows how to pull it off.
Katie Holmes Hair

Then, there is the young and charming Katie Holmes, whose hair might have become more interesting than her marriage to Tom Cruise. Holmes’s short styles have shown women that you can be sexy and chic with cropped cuts.
Miley Cyrus Hair

Miley Cyrus also charmed with her hair ‘dos this year. Although geared towards a younger crowd, Cyrus showed girls that they can embrace the hair they were born with. Her full, wild curls and waves bring life to the young star and show just how great you can look without ever touching a straightening iron. Finally, it seems the biggest trend in women’s hair this year, the revival of the bob cut, was also the work of a popular star.
Victoria Beckham Hair

Victoria Beckham revived this old-fashioned ‘do with her own trendy twist. Her angled, edgy bob, affectionately dubbed the “pob,” has become the biggest hair sensation of the year. Speaking of Beckham’s hair, Victoria’s status as a style icon is matched by her husband, David Beckham, who has become the leading man in men’s hairstyle fashions.

Although he has worn virtually every style in the book over the years, Beckham’s ability to look young and casual as he matures has won over many men who want his wispy, trendy hair. Along with Beckham, another male hair icon is Patrick Dempsey. This star is the dream man for many women, and his full head of hair is a dream for many men. He has shown that there is more to men’s hair than buzz cuts and gel.
George Clooney Hair

Finally, there’s George Clooney. When it comes to Clooney and hair, he is basically the Jennifer Aniston of the men’s world. His ‘dos have won him acclaim for years. Now, the star is showing men that you can age and still be hot. He has embraced his graying locks and helped other men do the same.

Celebrity Hair - Jessica Simpson's Amazing Blonde Hair

Celebrity Haircuts presents Jessica Simpson's Amazing Blonde Hair
Years ago, Jessica Simpson claimed fame as a “dumb blonde.” This image suited her just fine as a naïve newlywed. Now, though, she is working to shed that image for good and redefine herself as a mature, respected woman. However, she is still using her blonde locks for publicity. Rather than emphasize her natural beauty, she is taking a different approach.
Jessica Simpson Blonde Bob Hairstyle

Simpson is not shy about the fact that her gorgeous golden hair is styled with designer hair extensions. In fact, she has become a spokeswoman for these hair enhancements and even started her own line of products. The Jessica Simpson Hair Extensions line by HairDo has been on the market for over a year, and business is booming.
Jessica Simpson Wavy Hair

With these added pieces, Simpson can flawlessly transform her hair from long to short, curly to straight Even better, she can make all these changes without the damaging process involved with traditional designer extensions. Her line, which was developed in conjunction with her friend / hair stylist Ken Paves, is made up of clip-in pieces.
Jessica Simpson Elegant Hair

This means no sewing, no risk of scalp damage, and no bald spots. This is great news for those who are extension addicts, or anyone seeking a quick way to change their style. It’s also great news for Simpson herself, who is successfully finding a new way to spotlight her hair without insulting her intelligence.

Best Hairstyles For Men

Men hairstyles may not be as complicated as women hairstyles but every man does want that unique and fresh look that only the best hairstyle can provide.

So how can you get the best hairstyle? First off, it is important that you are true to yourself; pick a hairstyle that goes with your personality, style and the shape of your face as well. Many hairstyles will only look good on a certain face shape, for example a buzz cut can be very sexy on a man and simple as well, but this is not the best hairstyle if you have big ears or an odd shaped head.

If you have thinning hair or are going bald then don't try to hide your hair loss by growing long hair or even worse having a comb over, the best option for you would be to go for the bald head style. Celebrities such as Vin Diesel and Bruce Willis are a good example for this.

This year hairstyles for men are all about keeping it simple if you are going short or having a messy hair look if you want to go longer. If you are opting for a short hairstyle for men then make sure it goes with the shape of your face and this style is very easy to maintain afterward.

For longer hairstyles for men, it is better to go to a salon and pay a couple extra dollars for a top quality haircut. After getting the hairstyle you want make sure you buy a hairstyling product. Don't try to use the cheapest product, they can cause dandruff and ruin your style, there are many hairstyling products for men that may cost a bit more but will do wonders for your hairstyle.

Celebrity Hair Trends for Fall 2008

Celebrity Haircuts presents Celebrity Hair Trends Fall 2008

When it comes to hairstyles, trends come and go with each passing year. So, what are the big celebrity looks for the Fall 2008? Perhaps the number one trend is looking natural. Stars want to look like they were born looking gorgeous. Bold, fake colors are definitely out, and few stars will be risking any pink chunks or black/platinum streaks this year.

Instead, both men and women are opting for highlights that add depth and dimension without looking artificial. For some highlighting inspiration, check out Eva Longoria’s locks or David Beckham’s streaks. As far as cuts go, texture seems to have replaced the pin-straight look. Stars are seeking razored edges, long layers, and angled pieces.

This means hair looks more playful, lively, sexy, and, again, natural. ‘Dos that look like they took minutes instead of hours to prepare are what’s in style. As for length, going short is a big trend among everyone from Victoria Beckham to Katie Holmes.

The edgy bob is definitely still in style, and more and more stars are taking the plunge and cutting their hair. On the other end of the spectrum, some stars are battling the bob trend by showing off their very long, volumous locks. Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, and Sarah Jessica Parker are just a few who are proud of their long, luscious hair.

Ultimately, this year’s celebrities want to appeal to the public by sporting hairstyles that look like they could fit anyone. Don’t worry, though, stylists will still be happily employed all year. After all, for stars, looking natural still requires irons, dye jobs, and extensions; they’re just a little less noticeable.
